The mighty Orca is the largest of the dolphins and in Icelandic waters they seem to be mostly attracted to herring shoals. Often many family pods can be seen together where herring abounds sometimes to the dismay of the fishermen. This powerful predator which is known for hunting other whales and seals does not seem to do a lot of that around Iceland, and seems content to compete with the herring industry.
