| The view to the north from Reykjavik. Mt. Esja, a 20 km. long and 1000 m. high mountain provides some shelter when the cold northerly winds are blowing. Reykjavik is a city closely connected with the environment and harnessing clean natural resources for it's energy needs. It has every possibility of being the cleanest city in the world. All that apart, the important point is that a real effort is being made to make this city as natural and pollution free as humanly possible. |
