The mountains of the East Fjords are spectacular as are the many fjords. Each fjord is unique and the mountains surrounding them are all shapes and sizes. It's almost like wonderland and in every fjord is a little fishing village full of friendly people. Tourism is getting stronger there with varied services in every fjord. Along with the West Fjords this is the oldest part of the land with the layers sloping down towards the middle of the country. A land of great natural beauty and a must for everyone with the time and inclination to live the rugged nature of this country to the fullest.
