The shoreline of The East Fjords offers incredible variety of natural textures. There are cliffs and steep mountains by the sea. There are also long sand reefs that extend across some of the fjords forming shallow lagoons on the inside. There is also every sort of coastline imaginable between these two extremes. Apart from the fjords there are many creeks and tongues to be found along the coast both between the fjords and in them. The main road is always very close to the shore and it is accessible in most places. There are many surprises waiting for the keen visitor looking for beautiful spots on the shoreline.
