In the East Fjords there are towns in almost every fjord. These are fishing villages, completely dependent on the sea. As the fjords are surrounded by big mountains the towns are almost always built on the north shore of the fjords to get more sunshine usually in the bottom. Even though the main attraction is the magnifiscent landscape the towns offer many services and recreation oppertunities. There are all kinds of museums and many interesting things to see. In resent years some of the towns have started to have cultural festivals that last a week or so. It´s worth checking if something like that is on.
