On the edge of the lowlands of the south the mountains begin. The mountains of the south highlands are in the background with Mt. Hekla, Iceland's most famous volcano, on the right with the snow. Bjarnarlon reservoir collects water before sending it through the 230 megawatt Burfell power station and then back to Thjorsa river where it originally came from.		Close window
