Weather forecast
South Iceland has no fjords at all. It's a great long sandy beach along the south coast. But it has big, long rivers and some of the most famous things in icelandic nature, Mt. Hekla and The Geysir among them. The flatlands that cover much of the south are fertile agricultural areas with much farming but tourism is also strong there. Much of this area is within comfortable driving distance from Reykjavik and thus gets a lot of visitors and rightly so because there is indeed much to see and do. History, geography, nature or sports, whatever your interests are you're bound to find something there.
