Thjórsárdalur valley is a strange place. It has black sand deserts and nice woodland. It also has one of the country's biggest power stations and an ancient farmhouse, both the original and a rebuilt one. It also has a swimming pool in the middle of nowhere and Mt. Hekla close by and Mt. Búrfell with a road to the top, some magnificent waterfalls, Thjórsá river flowing through it, the natural wonder Gjáin and, well I'm all out of breath now you should go there and have a look.
