Just east of Lake Breidamerkurlón are these mountains partly surrounded by the glacier. The highest peaks are between 1500 and 1600 metres. Sometimes overlooked by icelandic tourists because of all the natural treasures close by, these mountains and their valleys deserve a closer look.		Close window
