Eldvatn is one of the glacial rivers of Southeast Iceland. Like all glacial waters it is small and quite tame at one time and then turns into something enormous and very dangerous. The glacial rivers also change each day as they are bigger at night after the warmth of the sun has melted the ice during the day and then it shrinks back in the cool of the night.
