Weather forecast
The southeast part of Iceland has through the centuries been a very difficult place to travel. The huge rivers that flow through the vast sands of the south coast were the last link in the road around Iceland. Even in 1996 the flood after the Vatnajokull eruption destroyed the biggest bridges completely leaving the sand just like it was before we came. Vatnajokull the big glacier stretches along the coast with the rugged mountains it has sculptured through the ages as ornaments at it's base.
