Lakes in The West Fjords are mostly up on the plateau and none are of any great size. There is an awful lot of them especially in the east parts and most of them nameless. The biggest lake in The West Fjords is probably Lake Fljotsvatn in Fljotavik the now deserted north part of The West Fjords.
